Western Cup Volleyball 2025

Western Cup Volleyball is hosted by Spectrum Volleyball Calgary, a volunteer-run organization dedicated to serving Calgary’s queer community. This two-day tournament kicks off with pool play on Day 1, followed by playoffs on Day 2.

Known for its vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, Western Cup provides an exciting opportunity for volleyball players in the queer community to connect with peers and form lasting friendships. Players from across Canada come together to share their love of the game in an action-packed environment filled with energy and community spirit.

While the tournament emphasizes fun, you can expect competitive, high-energy games alongside enthusiastic participation from community business partners.

As the longest-running multi-sport queer tournament in North America, Western Cup carries a rich legacy, and we’re thrilled to welcome you to be part of this incredible tradition.

On Day 2, teams will compete in a double-elimination format, with each match played as best-of-three sets. In the loser’s bracket, games will consist of one set played to 25 points.
